That is one sweet story -- that thing about the homeless velvet-voiced YouTube sensation who is now America's hero because of his smooth radio voice. I just saw him on TODAY and fell in love with him. Is he seeing anybody!? Oh wait, I really actually do NOT want to date the fella.
I landed late last night, was up first thing this morning, and am writing this in the greenroom of Morning Joe waiting to go on.... I need some of that there fresh Starbucks coffee!
People are PISSED about the judges' decision on last night's episode of Top Chef. I urge you to go read their blogs because I am sure they fill in the blanks a little more.... Someone tweeted me last night saying the show was rigged because so many favorites have gone home. I said, "Why would they send favorites home if it was rigged?" Would it be rigged to piss off everybody. Anyway, it is not rigged and they are all favorites, is the thing! So every elimination is a buzzkill.
I wonder if you saw Anderson Cooper's amazing commentary about the Beverly Hills Housewives last night on 360. I am sure it'll be everywhere online today and I'll try to show a clip of it on Watch What Happens: Live tonight. It's our first show of the new year and Bethenny is back! How fun will THAT be? (Answer: very!)
OK I am going to study up on our crying Speaker of the House before I make a fool of myself on MSNBC. See you tonight at 11!

The man with the velvet voice...should receive ongoing support from Today. He deserves the accolades and spotlight on his beautiful, rich voice. But watching him weep (with joy) this morning on Today unveiled how vulnerable this man still is. He said that Today offered him a therapy session with a psychologist, and he voiced on air how receiving all this overwhelming attention made him feel like he could use "something" to help cope. I urge the media to handle him gently...and not like a freak show...because of his sensitive nature and his addiction issues. The sudden spotlight is a lot of stress to handle, and I would hate to see him relapse, or undergo huge emotional stress, as was the case with Susan Boyle. Today should offer him ongoing therapy just for bringing him into the spotlight on their show.
Will someone please give Boehner some lessons in decorum and handling of his emotions while giving a speech? Every time the guy speaks he cries. Come on now. He is in line for the Presidency after VP Biden. Imagine him being the guy in charge under stress?!! I'm already tired of him weeping and wiping his eyes with his big white handkerchief. I don't think he is up to the job. Bring back Nancy Pelosi!
I just love Anderson! He was hysterical with his Camille bit! He did a great job with this ridiculist however...Andy, your morning stint on MSNBC might need to be on the ridiculist! Was it as uncomfortable for you as it was to watch? Those two hosts to your right were looking at you with the strangest look throughout the interview. I just wanted to jump into the TV and tell them to lighten up. Then, they throw in the pre-scripted speaker of the house question-it was priceless.
Happy new year, Andy! Love the way you are always so positive!!!! I love Bethenny and rooted for her when she was on RHONY. I just felt that her comments about Camille tonight were really ugly. She seemed to almost enjoy saying those mean things. Maybe it is because she is friends with Kyle, who by the way, doesn't always have the best manners or says appropriate things to Camille. Still love you, Bethenny, but don't be so harsh and judgemental towards Camille.
Sadly, the man with the velvet voice has been arrested in a hotel. He was apparently fighting with one of his daughters. I truly feel so bad, my heart weeps for his pain. DIDN'T ANYONE SEE THIS CRASH COMING LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN? I hope the "media" has helped him out of jail as quickly as they were to exploit his wonderful talent. Poor guy.
Sadly people like Vicky Lawrence and Wendy Williams and already screeching about how many other people have talent that aren't getting the break that Ted has fallen into. Ya know what, here's the deal..........just because he got his doesn't mean that anyone else won't get theirs. And seriously, Vicky Lawrence deserves Jackhole of the week for parody-ing Ted and griping about how she can't find work, uh hello?? Listen Vicky, if you didn't save your dough from the Carol Burnett and your own show that's your problem, I think you got *yours*, sit down and chill. As for Wendy, whom I adore, I understand what she's saying about a lot of talent being out there.........here's the deal; in my opinion Ted was in the right place at the right time for exactly what is going down. I think we're all going to be learning alot about ourselves, and it may not be very pretty, but there is much to learn from this........quit hating! I'm worried what will become of all of this, we are not a very sensitive society at this point.........this may turn into *Poor Ted* for what we, as a society, will end up doing to him.........Heavy sigh, Andy, heavy sigh.

I don't understand how anyone can think anyone but Casey go home with that disgusting, unedible dish? It failed in every conceivable way, from the pancake the judges calling the foot inedible. If you put an inedible dish out it should be eliminated over oily beans (which Antonia wasn't shown stepping up and taking responsibility for...though it might have happened) and a bad dumpling.
